Looking for a fun project to pass some time? Why not turn your jailbroken iPhone into an iPhone X. In this guide we will show you step by step how you can add iPhone X look and functions to your older iPhone.
This guide is suitable for all models of iPhone including iPhone 6 or later and iPhone 6 Plus or later. So you have an iPhone 6, 6s, 7 or 8 you can use these steps to achieve this look.
In this guide we will be adding an iPhone X style floating icon dock to older iPhones, iPhone X’s exclusive gestures for home and multitasking, new status bar and an iPhone X wallpaper to complete the look.
Follow these steps to turn your iPhone into iPhone X.
Change the Wallpaper
First off all download the iPhone X wallpaper from here.After downloading apply it as your device’s wallpaper.
Add the iPhone X Dock
Now on your jailbroken device open Cydia and search for ‘iPhone X Dock’. This is a Anemone theme that will add an iPhone X style dock your device. There are two separate versions of this theme for both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhones. Download the appropriate one according to your device.
After downloading Open Anemone app and Enable the iPhone X Dock theme. Your iPhone should now have a new dock.
Install Fluidity tweak
The last and most important step of turning your regular iPhone into an iPhone X is installing the free Fluidity tweak. You can download this tweak from Cydia by adding ‘http://midnightchip.github.io/repo/’ repo to it. After installing it open Settings and scroll down for Fluidity’s Settings. From its preferance page turn on all the toggles and respring your device.
After respring you should have a new status bar and iPhone X like gestures that allow you to do the following.
- Swipe up from bottom to go Home.
- Swipe up and hold to access App Switcher.
- Swipe down from top right to access Control Center, from left to access Notification Center.
- Swipe left or right at the bottom part of the screen to switch between running apps.
