Liquid Glass has been controversial in the eyes of many iPhone users. If you’re one of those users and want to get rid of the new design of the Control Center, icons, dock, navigation tabs, and more, then this guide is for you.

In this tutorial, we show you how to turn off Liquid Glass using a hidden Accessibility feature found in the Settings app.

While there is no toggle to essentially turn off Liquid Glass, you can greatly reduce its effects by switching on Reduce Transparency. Here’s how to do it.

Turn off Liquid Glass

  1. Unlock your iPhone and open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Accessibility and then on Display & Text Size.
  3. Finally, turn on the toggle for Reduce Transparency.

Right off the bat, you will notice the difference. The background is gone from the Control Center, folder icons and background do not have the glass effect, and even the frost effect on the icon dock is gone. The change can also be seen in the apps that feature Liquid Glass design.

That’s it, this is how you can quickly and easily turn off the Liquid Glass design and make your iPhone look a bit more normal. This also makes it easier for you to read text on your device.
