If you are annoyed when Face ID fails to authenticate or it can’t recognize your face when you are wearing a mask or sunglasses, then we have the perfect tutorial for you.
iPhones have a super handy feature that allows users to unlock their iPhones with Apple Watch. This feature comes into play whenever Face ID fails to scan your face. In this case, it authenticates securely using your Apple Watch.
You can enable this feature right from the Settings app. But before you do, make sure of the following.
- Your Apple Watch is protected with a passcode.
- Your Apple Watch needs to be on your wrist and unlocked for this feature to work.
Enable the Unlock iPhone with Apple Watch feature
- On your iPhone, open the Settings app.
- Tap on the Face ID & Passcode option.
- Enter your passcode to gain access to Face ID settings.
- Scroll down to a section labeled Unlock with Apple Watch.
- Turn on the toggle next to your Apple Watch’s name.
If you own multiple Apple Watches and want to enable this for all of them, then make sure to enable the toggle for them as well.
And that’s it, with this simple toggle switch, you can make your life a lot more convenient and get rid of the frustrations you have to endure when Face ID stops working on your device.
