Update AirPods Firmware

  1. Make sure your AirPods are in the Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Connect your iOS device or Mac to the internet.
  3. Plug your AirPods into a power source using a USB cable.
  4. Place the L and R AirPods in the charging case and close the lid.
  5. Wait for at least 30 minutes and after this time open your AirPods lid.
  6. On iPhone go to Settings and tap on your AirPods name. From the next screen scroll down and tap on the Firmware option from under the About section.
  7. On the next screen, you should see the current firmware version of your AirPods.
