As we head closer to the launch of iOS 17 for the public, Apple has increased the frequency of its beta releases. The company has today seeded a new developer beta of iOS 17, bringing the total count of iOS 17 developer betas to 8. The beta 8 has been released 1 week after the release of iOS 17 Developer Beta 7.
iOS 17 Developer Beta 8 is now available for download on all iOS 17-compatible devices. In addition to iOS 17, iPadOS 17 Developer Beta 8 is also available to beta testers.
Apple is expected to release the Golden Master edition of iOS 17 on September 12, when the company is holding its Wonderlust iPhone event. A public release will follow the Golden Master release with a gap of a week or so.
iOS 17 is a major iOS release that is bringing a ton of new features to iPhones and iPads. Some of the notable features of iOS 17 include Messages app enhancements like Check-In and new App Drawer, Phone app enhancements such as new call screens and live voicemail, StandBy feature, AirDrop enhancements, Safari enhancements, Offline support for Maps, Adaptive Audio feature for AirPods Pro, Recorded Messages for FaceTime, and more.
Along with iOS 17 Developer Beta 8 and iPadOS 17 Developer Beta 8, Apple has also released watchOS beta 8 and tvOS beta 8.
