Apple has released iOS 11.0.2 and it is now available for download on all iOS 11 compatible devices. The release comes a week after iOS 11.0.1 and just like the previous update focuses on bug fixes and issues faced by users of new iPhones.
The most important bug that has been fixed in this release concerns iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus devices. With iOS 11.0.2, Apple has fixed the crackling sound issue that came out from the earpiece during phone calls. The issue was affecting a small number of iPhone 8 and 8 Plus users, however with this release it has now been fixed.
iOS 11.0.2 also fixes the bug that caused some photos to become hidden in the Photos app. In addition to that the issue that prevented attachments with S/MIME-encrypted emails from opening has also been solved.
iOS 11.0.2 is available over-the-air through Settings > General > Software Update. However you can also update your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch by connecting it to iTunes. If you prefer to update manually through iTunes then you can also use the direct IPSW download links below.
