Apple Releases iOS 14.4 And iPadOS 14.4 Update, Download Now

Apple has released iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 software update. The update is now available for download on all devices that support iOS 14.4 over-the-air and through direct IPSW links given below.

iOS 14.4 mainly focuses on bug fixes and improvements with some minor new features for iPhone users. With this update Apple has issued changes for the Camera app, which is now capable of recognizing smaller QR codes.

Bluetooth settings have also received a change and now allow users to classify Bluetooth devices in the Settings app. Users can now go to Settings -> Bluetooth and tap on the ‘i’ button next to the device’s name and then select a classification for their device. Choosing the right classification will allow correct identification of headphones for audio notifications.

With iOS 14.4 Apple has added a new feature that will notify the user if their iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max is not genuine. As we reported earlier users will get a warning that says “Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple Camera” if iPhone is unable to verify if an iPhone is fitted with a new and genuine Apple camera components after a repair.

Several bugs relating to HDR photos on iPhone 12, Fitness widget, keyboard, Messages, Switch Control and News app have also been fixed in this release.

iOS 14.4 brings support for Apple’s Black History Month initiatives and includes new Watch faces from Apple’s Black Unity Watch Face Collection.

In addition to iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 Apple has also released watchOS 7.3 for Apple Watch.

Apple has released the iOS 14.4 and iPadOS 14.4 updates and you can download them by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update.

You can also use the iOS 14.4 direct IPSW download links in order to download the IPSW file and use iTunes or Finder to manually install the update.
