In iOS 26, Apple is bringing new charging features to iPhone, which will make the user’s life easier. This includes new charging prediction, an intelligent adaptive mode, and a weekly battery usage average. Let’s take a look at them in detail.

Charging Prediction on Lock Screen

One of the coolest additions is a new feature that lets the user know how much time it will take for the iPhone’s battery to charge. Now, users get a new piece of information on the lock screen that tells them exactly how long it will take for their iPhone to reach 80% charge.

The information is displayed right above the clock and disappears once your iPhone reaches the 80% mark. Simple but very useful.

Detailed Charging Info in Settings

In addition to the lock screen info, users can head over to the Battery section of their device’s Settings app. There, they’ll find the current charging status, including how much charge the device currently has and how long it will take to reach 100%.

This little piece of information is quite handy, especially if you use a variety of chargers at home and want to know which one charges your device to 80% more quickly, and exactly how much time it will take to get there.

Battery Stats at a Glance

When you unplug your iPhone, iOS displays the current battery percentage along with the level of charge the device had when it was last plugged in. A small detail, but nice to know.

On the Battery page, you also get data on how much charge your iPhone has consumed today, your weekly average, and a chart that shows your battery usage throughout the week.

New Adaptive Battery Mode

Apple has also added a new adaptive mode alongside the Low Power Mode. In this mode, the device intelligently detects if battery usage is higher than usual and adjusts the iPhone’s performance to extend its battery life. This includes lowering the brightness and delaying some background activities.
