Apple has today announced the new HomeView Smart Hub. This is an Apple Intelligence-powered Smart Hub that uses Siri AI to respond to user requests. It costs $299 and will be available beginning November 13.
The HomeView features a 7-inch Liquid Retina Display and focuses on entertainment, connection and Smart Home Management.
Users can control their smart home accessories from the device using their voice or on-screen controls. They can also view their personal content in apps like Messages, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My. You can even use HomeView to make FaceTime calls as it comes with a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera.
The device needs to be connected to an Apple Intelligence-enabled device like an iPhone or iPad to draw on the user’s personal context.
HomeView is quite versatile and can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall in spaces like an entryway or hallway.
HomeView recognizes up to 6 members of a household and automatically switches their profile based on facial recognition.
The 7-inch Liquid Retina Display features an automatic brightness that goes up to 500 nits. It can also go down to 0.3 nits, making the HomeView a perfect nightstand. True Tone feature makes it react to changing light conditions throughout the day. The display comes with a resolution of 1088×1088 pixels at 220 ppi.
The standard HomeView with domed aluminum speaker base features a custom down-firing woofer with dual force-cancelling passive radiators. Both models support Spatial Audio and offer two custom full-range drivers.
HomeView comes in four color options including Silver, Space Grey, Rose Pink, and Starlight. The HomeView Wall Mounted edition is available in Silver and Space Grey options only.
You can pre-order the HomeView now in both standard and wall mounted configurations for $299. The product will be available on November 13.
