Studio Display is a new standalone external monitor for Macs from Apple. This new 27-inch 5K retina Display screen features a built-in 12-megapixel Center Stage Camera and high-fidelity audio speakers.
Studio display features an all screen design that comes in an all-aluminium enclosure. The monitor features a built-in stand that allows users to tilt the display up to 30 degrees. Apple has also included VESA mount adapter option.
The display has a 27-inch screen size and comes with 5K Retina Display. Apple says it has over 14.7 million pixels and 600 nits of brightness, P3 wide color and support for 1 billion colors.
Studio Display also supports True Tone technology, Nano-Texture glass, A13 Bionic chip that powers its 12MP Ultra Wide camera, studio-quality three microphone array and 6 speaker sound system.
Studio Display connects with the Mac with a USB-C port, It features 3 USB-C ports that are capable of delivering 10GB/s to high-speed peripherals, networking and storage devices that can be connected directly to the display.
Users can connect the display to their MacBook with a single cable. This cable will not only connect the display with the Mac but also connect any peripherals that are connected to the display, while also supplying 96W power to the notebook.
To complement the Studio Display Apple is also launching a new silver-and-black color option for the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Mouse and Trackpad.
Apple is selling the Studio Display for $1,599. The nano-texture glass comes as a $300 option. The tilt and height adjustable stand is a $400 option and takes the price of the display to $1,999.
