iOS 10.3.1 software update has been released and is now available for download. The update comes almost one week after iOS 10.3 was released for public. The update brings bug fixes and changes to improve security of iOS devices. No new features have been introduced in this release as is expected from a point update. A notable security fix that has been made in this release is related to the Wi-Fi chip. Apple has fixed the vulnerability with iPhone 5 or later, iPad 4 or later and iPod touch 6th gen., which enabled an attacked to run arbitrary code on the device’s Wi-Fi chip.
If you are running iOS 10, then it is recommended that you update your device to the latest release. You can update over-the-air by opening Settings > General > Software Update. Alternatively, you can use iTunes to update automatically or do it manually by downloading iOS 10.3.1 IPSW using the links below.
