Apple Has Released iOS 10 Beta 8, Public Beta 7 And tvOS 10 Beta 7 to Developers

iOS 10 main

Apple has just seeded iOS 10 beta 8 to its registered developers and the software update is now available for download. iOS 10 Public Beta 7 has also been released for those users who are registered with Apple’s Beta Software Program. Both versions of iOS 10 beta are available for all models of iOS devices. Just like previous few betas these releases don’t bring any new features to iOS and focus on bug fixes and performance improvements.

Yesterday Apple surprised everyone by releasing iOS 9.3.5 update that contained important security fixes. It is very likely that Apple has applied the same security fix to the public and developer betas in this release. This makes sense as it is safe to assume that iOS 10 also had the same vulnerability, since it has been confirmed the exploit was present in iOS since the days of iOS 7. If you are a public beta tester of iOS 10 or a developer you can go to Settings > General > Software Update in order to install the new update on your devices.

Accompanying iOS 10 betas was tvOS 10 Beta 7. No new features have been added in this release of tvOS 10 beta, as it too focuses on performance and bug fixes. tvOS 10 is a major release for Apple TV as it brings a number of features including a Dark Mode, HomeKit support, Single Sign-on for apps, update Music app and Apple Music interface and more. If you are already running tvOS 10 beta, to update simply open the Software Update section of your Apple TV.
