Apple Releases iOS 16.0.1 Update For iPhone 14 Models

As iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro devices have started to ship to buyers, Apple has released iOS 16.0.1 software update exclusively for the newly released models.

Those with an iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max can now download iOS 16.0.1 update from the Software Update section. The update should also be available for iPhone 14 Plus once that device starts shipping to customers.

The build number for iOS 16.0.1 is 20A371, while the build number for iOS 16.0 released for all iPhones a few days ago was 20A362.

iOS 16.0.1 is released to fix bugs on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro devices. Apple says the update is recommended for all users.

With iOS 16.0.1 Apple has fixed the issue faced by users during the activation and migration set up on iPhone 14 devices.

The update also fixes the Photos app issue in which the photos may appear soft when zooming in landscape orientation. This specific problem was seen on iPhone 14 Pro Max only and has now been fixed.

Another bug that iOS 16.0.1 fixes is related to Enterprise single sign-on apps, where they may fail to authenticate on new models.

iOS 16.0.1 is available for download right now over-the-air and through direct download links. Apple is also beta testing iOS 16.1 with developers.

iOS 16.1 is expected to get released for all devices in mid-October along with iPadOS 16.1.
