Apple has released iOS 18.0 beta 8 to developers along with many other releases. The release of beta 8 comes just a few weeks ahead of Apple’s expected launch of iOS 18 for everyone in mid-September.
The iOS 18 beta 8 update is available over the air on devices that are on iOS 18.0 beta. The build number for today’s release is 22A5350a.
Alongside iOS 18.0 beta 8, Apple has also released iPadOS 18.0 beta 8 for developers. macOS Sequoia, tvOS 18 beta 8, and visionOS 2 beta 8 are also available for download on their compatible devices.
If you are a developer who is beta testing any of these operating systems, then you can head over to the Software Update section and download the updates on your device.
Apple has already announced its upcoming ‘It’s Glowtime’ event, where the company will be announcing the new iPhone 16 lineup. After the event, the company is expected to release an iOS 18 Release Candidate before a final version of iOS 18 is released to the public.
As we are late in the beta cycle of iOS 18.0, we do not expect Apple to add any new features or noticeable changes in beta 8. Apple has also released iOS 18.1 beta 3 to developers today. iOS 18.1 is bringing missing iOS 18 features that were announced at WWDC 2024 to iPhones and is expected to be publicly released in October.
