After months of beta testing, Apple has released iOS 18.0 Release Candidate for beta testers. Along with iOS 18.0, the company has also released iPadOS 18.0 Release Candidate, watchOS 11 Release Candidate, and tvOS 18.0 Release Candidate.
Those running iOS 18.0 beta can now head over to the Software Update section of their iPhone or iPad and install iOS 18.0 RC on their devices over the air.
If you’re beta testing iOS 18.1, then you will not be able to install iOS 18.0 RC on your device unless you downgrade to iOS 17 on your device and then install the new release candidate.
With today’s iOS 18.0 RC release, Apple is preparing for the big iOS 18.0 launch for the public, which is scheduled for September 16.
Once the iOS 18.0 release candidate has rolled out to users, Apple will monitor the release and if no major bugs are found, then the same build will be released to the public. If bugs are found, then Apple will release a different build of iOS 18.0 on September 16.
