Apple has released iOS 18.5 software update for all users, and it is now available for download. If you are running iOS 18.4 or lower, then head over to the Software Update section to install this release.
iOS 18.5 is a major release that brings a number of important changes to iPhones and iPads. The update also brings performance enhancements and bug fixes, along with security fixes that make this update a must-install for all users.
Changes in iOS 18.5
With iOS 18.5, iPhone and iPad get a new Pride Harmony wallpaper that can be applied through the Wallpaper section inside the Settings app.
In the Mail app, Apple has added a new menu that can be accessed by tapping on the ‘…’ button inside an inbox. This menu allows users to switch between categories and list views, toggle the Priority feature on and off, and switch the Contact Photos feature on and off. Previously, users had to go to Mail app settings to change these settings.
In Screen Time, parents will now get a notification when the passcode is entered on a child’s device, which is a welcome change.
A bug has also been fixed that caused Apple Vision Pro app to show black screen.
