Apple has released iOS 26.4 Release Candidate to beta testers along with iPadOS 26.4 RC, macOS 26.4 RC, and more. With today’s RC release, we can expect iOS 26.4 to get a public release by next week.
iOS 26.4 is a major iOS update that is bringing a number of new features and improvements to iPhones and iPads.
If you are running iOS 26.4 beta on your devices, then you can head over to the Software Update section and install the new update. If you are waiting for the final release of iOS 26.4, then you will have to wait until next week, as we expect Apple to release iOS 26.4 to everyone by March 23.
While a public release on Monday, 23 March will be normal, the release could get delayed if Apple finds significant bugs in the Release Candidate build that need to be fixed.
iOS 26.4 brings several changes to iOS devices, including 8 new emoji characters, offline support for Shazam, Personal Hotspot Data usage reports on a per-device basis, AI-powered Playlist Playground feature for Apple Music, redesigned Apple Music Album and Playlist views, new widgets for Ambient Music, Stolen Device Protection being enabled by default, and redesigned wallpaper gallery.
