Apple has released iOS 26 Developer Beta 2, and it is now available for download. The update was released two weeks after Apple released the first iOS 26 developer beta.
iOS 26 Developer Beta 2 is expected to bring bug fixes and performance improvements that were found in the first beta.
In addition to this, Apple could make design tweaks and introduce features that were missing from the initial release. We will have to wait for a bit longer to find out which changes have been introduced today.
Along with iOS 26 beta 2, Apple has also released the following betas. These are also available for download on devices running the original beta.
- iPadOS 26 beta 2
- macOS 26 Tahoe beta 2
- watchOS 26 beta 2
- tvOS 26 beta 2
- visionOS 26 beta 2
We are installing iOS 26 beta 2 and will update this post as changes are discovered in this release.
Changes in iOS 26 Beta 2
- Beta 2 adds more blur to the Control Center’s background.
- Apple has added a new ringtone in the ringtones section. This is a variant of the Reflections ringtone.
- The new unknown senders feature now displays a blue notification badge instead of a red notification badge on the icon. This change in the notification badge color will help users distinguish between the two types of notifications.
- In the new update, Safari controls have been reorganised. Now new tab and bookmark buttons have been moved to the bottom of the menu, while the share button is available within the list now instead of being displayed in the buttons bar.
- The official iOS 26 wallpaper now supports the parallax effect.
- The stock iPhone wallpaper collection is now back in the Wallpapers section.
- Recovery mode now allows users to restore iOS on their iPhone or iPad without a computer.
