Today is a big Apple software release day, as the company has released macOS 13 Ventura, watchOS 9.1 and tvOS 16.1 updates. All of these software updates have been released along side iOS 16.1, iPadOS 16.1 and iOS 15.7.1.
You can now head over to the software update section of your Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV in order to download the latest version of software on your device and enjoy all the new features that come with it.
macOS 13 Ventura released
macOS 13 Ventura, which was announced back at WWDC 2022 has finally been released to all Mac users. Apple had been beta testing the operating system with developers and public beta testers and after months of fine tuning it has finally released the update for all Mac users.
You can download macOS Ventura by going to System Preferences -> Software Update and download the free update on your computer.
macOS Ventura brings many new features to Macs that will improve the experience of using them. This includes Mail app improvements with features like ability to Undo Send an outgoing email, schedule emails, follow ups feature and rich links.
Stage Manager feature is also making its way to the Mac, enabling users to organize their apps and windows in a single view on any Mac. It will also make switching between apps easier and allow users to create their ideal workspace.
Spotlight is also getting improvements and now features enhanced image search, new search design, quick actions and more.
macOS Ventura brings Passkeys support to Macs and Safari, which will enable users to ditch passwords for more secure passkeys. Safari browser has also received other improvements including Shared Tab Groups.
Messages app on the Mac will now allow users to edit a sent message and delete messages that have been sent over iMessage. SharePlay via Messages has also been added in this release along with Richer Collaboration features where users can share notes, presentations, Safari Tab Groups, reminders and more.
New iCloud Share Photo Library feature allows users to share a library with photos and videos with up to 5 other users. This library can be seen and updated by all participants.
Handoff support has been added to FaceTime, which will now allow users to switch an ongoing FaceTime call between Apple devices with just a click of a button.
Apple is bringing iPhone and iPad like Clock app to the Mac. Users will now be able to set timers and alarms directly from their Mac and ask time related queries from Siri.
New Continuity camera feature will allow Mac users to use their iPhone as a webcam with support for Center Stage. Desk View feature will enable users to collaborate with others with ease as it mimics an overhead camera and hows your desk and face at the same time to the other person.
Other features of macOS Ventura includes a redesigned and modern looking System Settings, advanced gaming features and shareplay support for gaming, redesigned Game Center dashboard and improved privacy and security features.
