Apple Seeds iOS 14.6 Release Candidate To Developers And Public Beta Testers

Apple has released iOS 14.6 Release Candidate to developers and public beta testers and the update can now be downloaded on iPhones. iPad users can also download iPadOS 14.6 Release Candidate and try out the new features that will be part of the upcoming software update. The release carried the 18F71 build number.

With the release of a Release Candidate, we can expect Apple to release this update for everyone by next week, provided the company does not run into issues with the new software.

iOS 14.6 is a major upcoming release that brings a number of new features to iOS including Apple Music’s new lossless audio and Spatial Audio features.

Other new features that will be introduced in this update include Apple Card Family feature that will allow up to 5 people of the same family to share an Apple Card.

Subscription feature for Podcasts, AirTag and Find My enhancements, new Voice Control features and more will also be part of this update along with bug fixes and improvements.

Release Candidates for macOS, watchOS and tvOS

Apple has also released macOS Big Sur 11.4 RC to developers with Podcasts subscription feature and bug fixes.

watchOS 7.5 RC is also on the release list today with Apple adding support for Apple Card Family Sharing, ECG support for 2 new countries (Malaysia and Peru), Podcasts subscription and more.

tvOS 14.6 RC and HomePod 14.6 are also available for testers.
