Apple has released iOS 16.7.5 and iPadOS 16.7.5 software updates aimed at older iPhone models that are not compatible with iOS 17. If you have an older iPhone, then you can download the latest iOS 16 version on your device.
iOS 16.7.5 is exclusively available for iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone 8. iPadOS 16.7.5 is available for 12.9-inch iPad Pro first generation, 9.7-inch iPad Pro, iPad 6th generation, and iPad 5th generation.
If you have an iPhone or iPad that is older than these models, then you can download iOS 15.8.1 and iPadOS 15.8.1, which are also available now.
No new features or noticeable changes in performance are expected in this release, as it focuses on bug fixes and security fixes.
