Apple has released iOS 11.2.5 software update for all models of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and the update is available for all devices. With this release Apple has added HomePod support to iOS devices making it possible for users to set up and control the HomePod once it ships on February 9th.
Apart from adding HomePod support iOS 11.2.5 brings several other changes too that includes the ability for users to ask Siri to read the news for certain categories including Sports, Music and Business. Just ask Siri ‘hey Siri, read the news’ to get the latest news. This feature is available in US, UK and Australia only.
iOS 11.2.5 has also brought bug fixes and improvements to all devices. More notably this update fixes the iMessage ChaiOS bug that caused unexpected crashes and reboots upon device receiving a specific URL through iMessage or opening the same link in Safari.
You can update to iOS 11.2.5 over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update or you can download IPSW file from the links below and use iTunes to update your device.
