Following the release of iOS 17.2 last week, Apple has released iOS 17.2.1 update for download. The update is available for all devices that are compatible with iOS 17.
iOS 17.2.1 is a minor update and brings bug fixes to iPhones. Apple has not released iPadOS 17.2.1 update for iPads.
You can download these updates on your iPhone by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update. The update is also available for download through iOS 17.2.1 direct IPSW download links that are shared below.
Apple has not specified which bugs have been fixed in iOS 17.2.1. The change log for this software update simply reads “This update provides important bug fixes and is recommended for all users”.
Apple has also released macOS 14.2.1 Sonama and a new firmware for AirPods 3. With iOS 17.2.1’s release, Apple has now stopped signing iOS 17.1.1, which means downgrades to this iOS version are no longer possible.
While iOS 17.2.1 is now available for download, Apple is also testing iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3 with developers and public beta testers. That update is expected to be released sometime in January 2024.
