Apple has just released iOS 18 developer beta 2. The update comes 2 weeks after the release of the first iOS 18 beta. If you are testing iOS 18 beta on your devices, then you can download beta 2 from the Settings app.
When the first developer betas of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 were released two weeks ago they were missing several features that were announced during WWDC keynote. One of those features was the ability to mirror and control the iPhone on the Mac. In addition to that SharePlay Screen Sharing feature was also missing from the initial release.
Today’s iOS 18 beta 2 and iPadOS 18 beta 2 finally include these features. This means you can install macOS Sequoia beta 2 (now available) on your Mac and try out the new iPhone Mirroring feature after installing the update.
Both of these features will not be available in the EU with this release due to regulations mandated in the Digital Markets Act. The features will be available for testing in the US and elsewhere.
You can download iOS 18 Developer Beta 2 on your iOS 18 compatible iPhone or iPad by going to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
