iOS 18 Rumored To Bring AI-Generated Emoji To iPhone

With iOS 18 Apple is bringing AI-generated Emoji to iPhones. The new capability will allow iOS to create new emoji ‘on the fly’ and suggest contextually generated emoji to the user.

The AI-generated AI will be available to the user along with the normal emoji we are accustomed to using.

The news comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who has detailed other features that will be part of the iOS 18 update expected to be announced at WWDC on June 10.

The addition of AI-generated Emoji will mean users will have a new emoji for every occasion, which will be relevant to the conversation they are having with a friend or writing a post in any social media app.

While Gurman has not detailed how the new AI Emoji feature will be laid out in the iOS keyboard it is expected that Apple will display generated AI emoji right below the text field, where we currently see emoji from the current catalog.
