iPhone 14 Pro Schematics Allegedly Show Punch Hole And Pill-Shaped Cutouts

For months we have been hearing that the upcoming iPhone 14 Pro will get rid of the full camera notch and bring a modern looking design featuring a punch hole and pill shaped cutout side by side.

Just recently new schematics have been posted on Chinese social media website Weibo, which allegedly show the size of the punch hole and pill-shaped cutouts on the face of iPhone 14 Pro.

The schematic allegedly depicts the size of the iPhone 14 Pro as it is likely going to be on the device. Popular YouTuber Jon Prosser of FrontPageTech has also “independently” confirmed that the schematic is legitimate.

Talking about the camera cutouts reliable display analyst Ross Young has said that the dual hole punch design that is seen in the schematics above will debut on all 4 models of iPhone in 2023 (with iPhone 15), hinting that this year they are going to be limited to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max devices while the more affordable models will still have the old school notch.

Here’s iPhone 14 Pro’s alleged pill + punch hold cutout compared with iPhone 13 Pro’s notch.

Previous rumors pointed towards a pill shaped cutout only

Initial rumors about the new camera cutouts had suggested that iPhone 14 lineup will feature a pill shaped cutout only and will house both the front camera and Face ID sensors in the small cutout.

However later rumors about the device allegedly revealed the pill shaped cutout will be accompanied with a punch hole cutout as well.

Here’s a video we did showcasing the iPhone 14 design with just a pill shaped cut out.
