Now that WWDC has ended, it is now time for us to focus our attention to the upcoming iPhone 7 that will most likely be launched in September. The rumor mill has already become pretty active as we are hearing interesting reports about the new Apple iPhone. The latest report suggests that the new iPhone will be available in Space Black finish that will be more similar to the darker Space Black of Apple Watch than Space Gray of iPhone 6s.
This claim is made by both 9to5Mac who caution about the reliability of their source and Japanese language website Macotakara. Macotakara, which has previously claimed that iPhone 7 will come in a deep blue color variant has backed down from its original claim and now say the device will have a black shade. This is not the first time we are hearing such a rumor, however since this new one comes from two sources that have previously proved to be reliable and it would make sense for Apple to introduce the space black color to match the Apple Watch we decided to share it with you guys.
Another rumor that originates from 9to5Mac’s potentially sketchy source is that the new iPhone will have a physical home button that will be capable of giving haptic feedback to simulate a click (similar to how Macbook’s Force Touch based touchpad simulates a button press with haptic feedback).
There are some other interesting tidbits in 9to5Mac’s post too including the addition of GPS sensor for workout logging without the iPhone and ability of tracking swimming sessions in the Workout app. The report also mentions addition of Touch ID on the Macbook along with OLED touchscreen bar and fully wireless Earpods.
