Official: Apple to hold its iPad event on October 16

its been way to long -iPad event

Apple has just made the rumored iPad event official confirming that it will be taking the stage to reveal the new hardware. The event that is scheduled for October 16th is expected to bring the new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini third generation. Some other devices such as a new iPod touch and Macbook models may also be on Apple’s agenda for that day. The event will kick off at 10 AM Pacific time and will be taking place at Apple’s Town Hall auditorium.

This year’s iPad models are expected to feature upgraded specifications and Touch ID, something that has become a standard on the iPhone models. A8 Chips, better cameras, more RAM and storage options, a gold color option, a better display may also get included in the upgraded models. We would love it if iPhone 6 inspired curved screen edges could also be included in the upcoming models.

As usual the invitation graphic that Apple has sent to media houses (seen above) does not indicate much about the event or the products that are going to be announced on October 16th. It simply carries a tagline “It’s been way too long.” along with a part of company’s logo.

On the Mac side it is rumored that a 12-inch model of the Retina Display Macbook will be unveiled. Other Mac models may also see upgrades.

While we don’t have any reports or rumors to support this but iPod touch may also get its long due upgrade that includes an improved processor, better camera, Touch ID sensor among other upgrades.

As usual we will be covering the event and post about all the exciting news coming from Cupertino on October 16th. Keep visiting and don’t forget to follow us on Twitter and Facebook for live updates.
