Last year we saw the launch of the Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2 watches. Now rumors are strongly suggesting that the third generation Apple Watch that will mostly likely be called ‘Apple Watch Series 3’ is going to be released in September alongside the highly anticipated iPhone 8.
The rumor originates from a report from Chinese publication Economic Daily News, which reported that Quanta Computer is expected to enjoy a strong second-half 2017 due to the release of next generation Apple Watch.
Quanta Computer, which has been Apple’s supplier for the Apple Watch product since the original Watch was released back in 2015 has enjoyed great success due to its Apple partnership, as the Cupertino based company stuck with it for the manufacturing of Apple Watch second generation, and is expected to do the same for the third generation product.
Although the report focuses on the supplier, we also got the suggestion about the third generation’s September launch. There haven’t been many rumors about its design, which makes us think is Apple really going to keep the current 2 years old design. While a new design is not expected from the next Apple Watch, unfortunately, it is definitely going to have better specifications including cellular capability to make phone calls and send iMessage on its own. It is also expected to feature built-in Apple Watch, longer battery life and faster processor.
