Satechi Launches MagSafe Compatible Magnetic Charging Cable For iPhone 12

Accessory maker Satechi has launched its own USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable that takes advantage of iPhone 12’s MagSafe charging feature to wirelessly charge iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The new USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging cable from Satechi competes with Apple’s own MagSafe charging cable that costs $39.99, which is $10 more than Satechi’s offering.

The Satechi USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging Cable can charge the iPhone at up to 7.5w and connects to the back of the device like any other MagSafe compatible accessory.

While iPhone 12 comes with built-in magnets the Satechi USB-C Magnetic Wireless Charging cable also has integrated magnets that provide a solid grip on the device. Thanks to the magic of magnets you can place the Magnetic Wireless Cable at the back of the iPhone and it will align itself at the right spot.

The Magnetic Wireless Charging cable comes with a 1.5 meter cable and a reversible USB-C connector that can be connected to any charging brick or a computer.

Satechi Magnetic Wireless Charging cable costs $29.99 and ships on December 17, 2020.

Satechi Magnetic Sticker

In addition to the Magnetic Wireless Charging cable Satechi has also launched the Magnetic Sticker, which sticks at the back of an iPhone 11 or older and brings MagSafe like magnetic wireless charging to devices that support Qi wireless charging.

This sticker can also be placed on cases that don’t support iPhone 12’s MagSafe feature. Once the sticker has been added to the back of the iPhone or an iPhone case, users are able to stick the Magnetic Wireless Charging cable and charge their non-iPhone 12 device. Satechi Magnetic Sticker cost $9.99 and also ships on December 17, 2020.
