During the WWDC Keynote event Apple announced the new Search Ads feature that would allow developers to promote their applications on the App Store with dedicated ad units. The ad units will appear on top of the normal search results. Now it seems like Apple has finally started to roll out the new App Store feature to developers as the company is now sending email to those who are registered with its paid developer program. Apple has also launched a new webpage that details the process of joining the advertisement program and its benefits to the developers.

In addition to boosting the benefits of Search Ads to developers Apple is also offering $100 free Search Ads credit to developers who want to try the service before investing into it. Offering free ad credit is a classic technique used by advertising companies to lure advertisers by letting them get a taste of the potential benefits. The $100 credit is available for a limited time to those who sign up. Once the user has signed up he or she will receive a promo code for the credit and details on how to redeem it.

For a limited time, sign up and get a $100 credit* toward your first campaign. Simply create an account, then check your email for your promo code and redemption details.

While developers can sign up and set up campaigns on Search Ads right now, the service will officially launch and begin appearing to users using the iOS App Store on October 5th.
