iPhone has a handy flashlight feature that allows users to take advantage of their device’s camera flash and turn it into an emergency light. While the feature has been around for several years and accessible through the Control Center, Apple has added new functionality to flashlight making it possible for users to adjust its brightness. This new feature is exclusively available on iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus as it requires 3D Touch.
If you have a compatible iOS 10 device, then simply pull up the Control Center and force tap on the flashlight button. You will be presented with three different light levels including Bright, Medium and Low lights. To choose the level of your choice quickly you simply have to swipe your finger to the option and let go. Once you have chosen a level it will remain default even if you turn off the light and turn it back on. This is great as you don’t have to choose a brightness level every time you want to use the flashlight.
Having the ability to choose the flashlight level can be super useful, as there are times when you need dim light while bright light is more useful at other occasions.
