Popular Prisma App Updated To Add Video Editing Capabilities

Remember Prisma? The Artificial Intelligence based photo editing app that went viral this summer. Today the app got a major update that finally brings the editing features for videos. This means just like photos you will now be able to add Prisma’s unique and cool filters to your videos. The app currently only supports short clips of up to 15 seconds or less. Adding video support is a big step for Prisma, which started as an online only editing tool for iOS, and then later added offline support for adding filters. Up to 30 styles have been added for video editing.

If you are unfamiliar with what Prisma does, it uses machine learning techniques to convert photos and now videos into different patterns and works of art. The app got very popular right after its release with people turning their photos and selfies into Prisma artwork and sharing them on social media sites.

Just like the photos, editing on videos is done locally on device and the app will work even when there’s no Internet connection present. While the Prisma app is available for free and on all iOS devices running iOS 8 or above, users who have an iPhone 6 or later running iOS 10 will be able to use the video editing feature.
