Acapella III Tweak Replaces Media Controls With Gestures

Don’t like the old and boring iOS media controls? The Acapella III tweak for iOS 10 replaces them with gesture based music controls on the Music app as well as on the lockscreen and the Control Center. With this tweak installed you will be able to change songs and perform other actions with gestures. The tweak offers a number of customization options allowing users to personalize it however they like.

In addition to bringing gesture controls the tweak also makes it possible for users to hide certain aspects of the media player. This includes the progress slider, next/previous track, play/pause buttons, heart, share, shuffle, repeat buttons and more. With all these buttons removed you get a simple and minimalistic media player. On the Music app Acapella III’s gestures work on both now playing screen and the mini player.

There are several different gestures that you can perform with this tweak to perform different actions including Left/Center/Right Tap, Left/Center/Right Press as well as Left/Right Swipes. You can assign each of these gestures to a wide range of actions including next track, previous track, play, pause, heart, share, shuffle, repeat, up next, rating, volume up or down and more. Full list of actions is available on tweak’s Cydia description page.

You can download the Acapella III tweak from Cydia for $2.99. The tweak is compatible with iOS 10 or above. If you are running older version of iOS, then separate versions are available for iOS 7, iOS 8 and iOS 9.
