BioProtect Tweak For iOS 10 Brings Touch ID Protection To Apps, Folders and More

The popular BioProtect tweak, which brings fingerprint protection to different parts of iOS has received a major update, making it fully compatible with iOS 10 powered devices. For those of you who are not familiar with what BioProtect does, it is a simple and well designed tweak that lets you protect certain apps, folders, different settings sections and even flipswitches with Touch ID. This essentially means that whenever you or someone else tries to open any application or a section of iOS that you have protected with fingerprint, BioProtect will ask the user to scan his or her finger.

BioProtect tweak does not have access to your fingerprints nor does it send scan data to a remote server. The tweak integrates with Touch ID sensor found on most modern iOS devices and authenticates based on the fingerprint data already stored on your device. You can not only choose which apps you want to lock with BioProtect but you also get the option to protect folders so no one else can even open a folder without your permission. Other items you can lock with this tweak include Control Center items, power down menu and SIM unlock.

In addition to Touch ID scan BioProtect also accepts authentication through passcode. So if fingerprint scan is not working for some reason you can simply enter a passcode to gain access.

BioProtect fully works with iOS 10, iOS 9 and older. You can download it from Cydia for $2.99.
