BioProtect X Lets You Protect Your Apps With Face ID On iOS 11

The popular and immensely useful BioProtect tweak has been updated with support for iOS 11 and iPhone X. This essentially means that you will be able to lock specific apps and folders on your jailbroken device and authenticate access to them via Face ID.

While the main highlight of BioProtect X is addition of Face ID support, the tweak also works with Touch ID and good old passcode. The best thing about this new tweak’s Face ID integration is opening locked apps and folders is as effortless as it is without protection. Simply tap on the icon to open the app and Face ID will automatically scan your face. When authentication passes, you will gain access to the app without any extra effort or time.

In addition to apps and folders, BioProtect X can also protect Settings panes, Control Center items, power down, SIM unlock and flipswitches. When someone tries to access these parts of iOS or change settings BioProtect X will ask for Face ID, Touch ID or passcode before allowing the action to take place. When using passcode you can choose to use the same passcode as your device or choose separate one.

BioProtect X is available in Cydia for free. It runs on iOS 7.0 up to iOS 11.1.2. The tweak is available through ‘http://limneos.net/repo’ repository. Installation instructions for Electra jailbreak are available here.
