We have seen many alternatives to iPhone’s iconic ‘Slide to Unlock’ gesture, lets you access your device when you slide your finger on the lockscreen. Now a new alternative to this gesture has been released appropriately called ‘BlowToUnlock’. This tweak as you might have already guessed allows iOS users to unlock their device by simply blowing at it. The silly sounding idea actually makes sense and the tweak works quite flawlessly when you use it.
BlowToUnlock makes your device detect the ‘blow’ sound from its microphone, so to make the tweak work properly you have to blow at or around where your device’s microphone is. The best thing about this hack is that it not only works when you blow at the your device but you can also unlock your device by blowing at the microphone of your headphones.
From Settings you can enable or disable the tweak. You also get to set the sensitivity of the blow that will unlock the device for you. Another cool feature of it is that you can enable ‘Blow to wake screen’, which will directly unlock the device even if the screen is off when you blow at it.
If you are worried about other sounds unlocking your device, the tweak is automatically disabled when you are recording a sound or playing any sound from it.
