Cydia For iOS 11 Coming On 15th February

If you are waiting for Cydia’s release on iOS 11, then you will be pleased to know that a release date has finally been announced and it is set to get released on 15th February. The release data was announced by developer CoolStar, who is the developer behind the Electra jailbreak tool for iOS 11.1.2 or lower. While CoolStar announced the release date for Cydia, another developer nullpixel who has been beta testing the jailbreak store on his iOS 11 device shared a bunch of screenshots showing Cydia running on iOS 11.

As can be seen in the shared screenshots, Cydia will have letter-boxing on top and bottom when running on the iPhone X. This essentially means that although Cydia now works with iOS 11 and iPhone X, its user-interface still needs work before it can run on iPhone X properly.

CoolStar has noted that the current version of Cydia works on iOS 11, so they don’t want to mess with it while trying to add iPhone X UI support to it. He says they will try to add iPhone X’s native resolution to Cydia in a later release.

It is important to remember that this is CoolStar’s release and not an official Cydia release by Saurik, who is also working on adding full iOS 11 support to Cydia. This could mean you might not be able to buy paid tweaks from Cydia.
