The new CyNotifier tweak for jailbroken iOS devices notifies users whenever a tweak, theme or any other package that they have installed is ready to be updated. This makes user’s life easier since you don’t have to open Cydia and refresh just to see if there’s an update available for a package that you have installed. CyNotifier does this by periodically checking for updates in the background, when it finds one it simply sends a notification to the user so he or she can download it.
The tweak is fully customizable, which means you can set a time for when it would check for available updates. You can set update checks for every hour or once a day, which ever suits you the best. From settings you can even exclude certain packages or repositories from the automatic check. The tweak also has an automatic update functionality that checks for updates of tweaks once you are connected to WiFi.
If you are worried about CyNotifier affecting your battery or using excessive data then don’t be. Each check takes between only 5 to 10 KBs of data transfer and has been optimized to use as less battery as possible.
You can download it from Cydia for free where it is available under ModMyi repo. It requires iOS 8 to work.
