Incoming Call LivePhoto Tweak Adds Animated Wallpaper To Incoming Call Screen

The Live Photo wallpaper is perhaps the most under utilized feature of iPhone. iOS supports animated wallpapers on the lockscreen however they only animate when user manually pressure taps on the screen, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of having an animated wallpaper in the first place.

A new tweak called Incoming Call LivePhoto aims at making the Live Photo wallpaper more useful by allowing users to have an animated wallpaper appear when someone is calling them. Users can set any Live Photo as their incoming call wallpaper. Once a wallpaper has been selected iPhone will display the animated image as the phone rings, giving the iPhone a very cool effect.

Users can select their incoming call live wallpaper using iOS’s default wallpaper page. After installing this tweak they will get an additional option that will allow them to choose an animated image as their incoming call live wallpaper.

From tweak’s Settings page users can enable or disable the tweak and enable loop for wallpaper animation.

You can download the Incoming Call LivePhoto tweak from Cydia or Sileo where it is available for $4.99 under the Packix repository. It works with all 3D Touch enabled iPhones including A12 devices. For devices that don’t have 3D Touch, the tweak will work once the separate ‘LivePhotoForNon3DTouch’ tweak has been installed.
