We love to listen to music on our iOS devices and get excited whenever Music related tweaks are released in Cydia. Now two new hacks have been released called PlayTask and #PlayMe2, both of which affect the stock Music app of iOS. In addition to iOS’s Music app they are also compatible with popular third-party applications. Read on to learn what these tweaks do and how you can download them from Cydia.
PlayTask
PlayTask tweak is a Cydia hack that makes pausing the currently playing music easier. With this tweak installed you can play/pause the music swipe down on the the Music app’s task switcher card. PlayTask not only works on the stock Music app but it also works on any other app playing music. From Settings you can enable or disable the indicator as seen in the image above, change its color, size and opacity. You can download this tweak from the BigBoss repo for free.
#PlayMe2
The #PlayMe2 is another Music related tweak that puts the title of the currently playing song in the status bar. The title is showed on top of the screen in both lockscreen and homescreen. It also appears in apps that show the status bar. Along with song’s title the app also shows the artist’s name it belongs to. Perhaps the best thing about this tweak is that it does not hide the time permanently and shows it every few seconds. Along with the stock Music app #PlayMe2 also supports popular apps like Spotify, Pandora, Chrome/Safari and even Youtube (with Youtubed tweak). You can download #PlayMe2 from Cydia for free.
