If you have an iPad or an iPhone 6 Plus you would have certainly noticed that whenever you rotate your device and change its orientation, the wallpaper’s orientation is changed as well. While some users don’t mind this behavior others have been looking for a way to disable it. Wallpaper’s changing orientation not only bugs some users but it also on some accounts shows a lower quality version of the image when the device is in landscape mode. The new PortraitWallpaper solves this problem on both iPhone and iPad.
As you might have already guessed the PortraitWallpaper tweak prevents the wallpaper from rotating, keeping it in the default portrait orientation. This change can be seen on both the homescreen and the lockscreen.
Apart from disabling the annoying behavior of the wallpaper image on iOS on some devices there’s not much this tweak does and there are no settings to configure.
PortraitWallpaper tweak works on all devices that have this problem and is confirmed to be working on iOS 8.1.2. You can download it from Cydia’s BigBoss repo for free.
Tip: If you have an iPhone 6 Plus and want to totally get rid of the landscape mode then try the free Notate tweak from Cydia.
