If you watch a lot of online videos on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch then you would know how frustrating it is to bear the advertisements and limitations put up by different video streaming services. StreamEnhancer tweak lets you get rid of these annoyances by removing ads and different kinds of restrictions from the most popular video streaming apps for iOS. The tweak makes modifications to the official apps making the necessary changes to them.
Here’s what this tweak does to different video apps:
History and A&E apps: Disables ads, enables AirPlay, removes ad that appears at start up.
Youtube app: Disables ads, removes age restriction, removes watermarks from videos, lets users play HD videos of 3G/4G, removes paid and private video restrictions, prevents ads from tracking you, and allows likes and comments.
Twitch, MxTube and CrunchyRoll apps: Disables ads
In addition to the features above StreamEnhancer also disables Apple’s iAds system-wide, removing iAd banners from all third party applications that are using it. Developer has promised to add more support for more apps in the future.
To get StreamEnhancer you will have to add developer’s repo as this tweak is not available in Cydia’s stock repositories. To get it add “http://cydia.myrepospace.com/andrewwiik/” by opening Cydia > Sources > Edit and hitting the ‘+’ button. It is available for free.
