Unlit Tweak Brings Full Dark Mode To Instagram App

Instagram is perhaps the most popular social media app out there. The Instagram app for iPhone is well designed however it is still missing one important feature. Wouldn’t the app be so much better if it had a dedicated dark mode. Good news is you can add a dark mode to Instagram app by installing a Cydia tweak.

The Unlit tweak brings a full dark mode to Instagram, adding dark UI to to all pages. After installing the tweak the buttons will turn white while the background for all screens will turn black. The text is turned white, making it easier for users to read the text on different screens.

A great thing about this tweak is that it offers a simple on/off switch that allows users toggle the dark mode off whenever they don’t want to use it.

The Unlit tweak for Instagram is currently in beta, and might have bugs. The developer has promised that the future versions of the tweak will have a UI color picker, which means you will be able to add other colors to the UI instead of being limited to black.

If you don’t mind the bugs, then the tweak is available in early access right now for $1. Simply add ‘https://repo.packix.com’ to your Cydia sources and search for it.
