WhatsApp has introduced a new customization feature to its iOS and Android app called Chat Themes. This new feature takes WhatsApp customization further by allowing users to select the color of bubbles and new wallpapers for their chat pages.
Previously users could only change the chat wallpaper however with the latest update they can now change the colors of chat bubbles as well. You can now choose from 30 new wallpapers and even upload a custom image from the photos library.
WhatsApp is offering a bunch of pre-set chat themes for users to choose from. However, you also get the ability to mix and match colors to fit your style.

To change the WhatsApp Chat theme on iPhone follow the steps below.
- Launch the WhatsApp application.
- Tap on the Settings tab from the bottom bar.
- Go to Chats and tap on the Default Chat Theme option.
- From the next page select your desired chat theme and wallpaper.
You can also customize each chat with a different chat theme. To do this you should open the chat and then tap on the chat’s name from the top. Then on the next screen choose the chat theme.
If you have not received this new feature, then don’t worry as WhatsApp is rolling it out to all users and says it could to a few weeks to fully roll out. Make sure your WhatsApp app is up to date by updating it from the App Store.
