To easily create Split View screen with Spotlight search follow these instructions.
Step 1. Launch the first app you want include in the Split View screen.
Step 2. Now press Command ⌘ + Space key from the keyboard to access Spotlight search.
Step 3. Type the name of the second app that you want to include in the Split View screen.
Step 4. When the app icon appears in Spotlight search, touch and hold on its icon, and then drag it out of the Spotlight search.
Step 5. Move the icon to the right or left edge of the screen in order to add it to Split View screen.
You can also put the app you searched for in Spotlight in Slide Over window by dragging the icon to the middle of the screen and letting go.
