Long time ago we told you how you can add any repo to Cydia. Now times have changed a little and Cydia has a rival package manager that comes bundled with the Chimera jailbreak called Sileo. This new package manager aims to be a modern replacement for Cydia with its App Store like design and features.
While Sileo tries to do a lot of things differently than Cydia, many things still remain the same. For example, in Sileo you still have to add a Source or repository if you want to download tweaks or apps from sources other than the default ones.
In this tutorial we will show you how you can add any third-party developer repo or source to Sileo in order to download tweaks and other items from them.
- Launch Sileo and tap on ‘Sources’ tab from the bottom.
- Next tap on the ‘+’ button from top right side of the screen.
- Now you will see a popup to add source. Type or paste the URL of the source that you want to add to Sileo.
- Finally hit the Add Source button.
At this point Sileo will load up items found in this new repo and add them to its library for you. Once the repository has been added it will appear in the repositories list. Items found inside the repo will also be available through built-in Sileo search.
