Apple has just released iOS 16 Release Candidate and it is now available for download. The update has been released right after Far Out event and comes a week before iOS 16.0 is expected to launch for public.

Those running iOS 16 beta can simply head over to the Software Update section of their device (Settings -> General -> Software Update) and download the update on their device.

If you are not running iOS 16 beta already and want to install iOS 16 RC on your iPhone, then you have the option to sign up for iOS 16 Public Beta and download it on your device from there. Detailed steps on how to do this are given below.

Final version of iOS 16 to public will be available on September 12.

How to install iOS 16 Release Candidate on your iPhone

You can follow the steps below to download iOS 16 Release Candidate for free on your iPhone. Simply follow these instructions.

Step 1. In Safari open the Public Beta website and sign up if you aren’t signed up already.

Step 2. After signing up enrol your device to the beta program and download the iOS 16 beta profile on your device. If you are on a computer, then you can AirDrop or email the beta profile to yourself.

Step 3. Create a fresh back up of your device in iCloud or Finder/iTunes to make sure you don’t lose data.

Step 4. Now head over to Settings -> General -> Software Update and install iOS 16 Release Candidate on your iPhone or iPad.

Remember iOS 16 Release Candidate is only available for iOS 16 for iPhone. iPadOS 16 Release Candidate is not available yet, and it is expected to launch next month in October.
