How To Make Notes Appear Based On Date Created Instead Of Date Edited

notes-app-icon-ios

If you use the stock Notes app on your iPhone, iPad or even Mac then you would have noticed that by default your notes are arranged in the list based on the date they were last edited on. For example, if a certain note was created last year but it is the most recent note you edited, then this note will appear on top of the list regardless of the fact that other notes appearing below it were created later. This is true for both iOS and macOS versions of Notes application.

If you want to change this behavior of the stock Notes app and would rather have the notes list arrange notes based on the date they were created or even by title then you can do so by making a small change in the app’s settings section. Follow the steps below to change the way Notes are arranged in the list view.
