For me the best feature of Apple Watch is its ability to track daily activity for the user. The Watch can pretty accurately measure your movements, exercise and for how many hours in a day among other things. What makes Activity feature more fun is the Activity Sharing feature that allows users to share their daily activity with their friends. Users can add their friends in the Activity Sharing section of the Activity app on iPhone. Once a friend is added their daily activity data will start showing up on the ‘Sharing’ tab.
Activity Sharing is great, however it can be problematic for some due to its notifications. Whenever a friend reaches his or her daily goal, you receive an Activity notification on your Watch. This can be motivating or distracting, if its the latter, then follow the steps below to mute activity notifications.
Mute Activity Notifications For Sharing Friends
- On your iPhone launch the Activity app.
- Now tap on the ‘Sharing‘ tab from the button bar.
- When you are on the Sharing menu, you will see the names of friends you are sharing activity data with.
- Tap on the friend you want to mute activity notifications for.
- From the next page tap on ‘Mute Notifications‘ option.
That’s it. Now Activity progress notifications for this particular friend will be turned off. You can repeat the steps above to mute activity notifications for other friends as well.
